Yoga

What Is Yoga?

Yoga is a mind and body practice with historical origins in ancient Indian philosophy. Like other meditative movement practices used for health purposes, various styles of yoga typically combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation or relaxation.

Yoga is included in the Vet TRIIP program as a form of relaxing stretching, breathing and gentle exercise.  Although some forms of yoga can be very active and invigorating, similar to aerobic calisthenics, the Vet TRIIP program suggests practicing a Hatha yoga style called Viniyoga with an instructor who can adapt it for relaxation and to fit your condition and physical challenges.
