AROMATHERAPY
Relaxation / More Comfort / Better Sleep
Aromatherapy is one of the oldest healing arts...using the natural oils from herbs, flowers, fungi, parts of plants and other sources to assist the body in healing itself. From biblical times, Frankincense (Boswellia) and Myrrh have been used for healing by direct application (frequently with carrier oils), tasting, inhaling and burning as incense. Ancient Egyptians, Indians and Chinese all used aromatic essential oils for healing and other practices. The sense of smell is one of the most primitive and powerful senses. Inhalation of some essential oils allows their direct influence of the arousal and limbic structures of the brain. Smell is the basis for bonding between newborn babies and their mothers and can trigger the earliest memories, such as those triggered by the smell of baking cookies or holidays scents.
Individuals have different responses and preferences with food and there are similar differences in individual responses and preferences to various essential oils. It makes sense to sample a range of essential oils and find the ones which give the best benefits for you. Another consideration is that some oils can be very harsh on the skin or in applications to more delicate tissues such as the sinuses or tongue and care must be used to dilute the essential oils with high quality carrier oils or even water for effective use.
Note: Some people may be hypersensitive to a specific oil or a range of essential oils, and they have the option of declining their exposure to essential oils in Vet TRIIPTM IIP Sessions.

A choice of three essential oils is offered to participants at the beginning of the Vet TRIIP™ IIP Sessions. Lavender oil is frequently found to be calming by many individuals. Others seem to prefer orange oil.
A blend of eucalyptus, rosemary, peppermint, spruce and other oils helps with breathing issues.
There are many sources of essential oils...many claiming their oils are the highest quality, the best or the most effective. Unfortunately, high prices do not always reflect higher quality oils.
Vet TRIIP™ has used Younify (formerly Be Young) Essential Oils with excellent success. Other suppliers of essential oils are Young Living, DoTerra, Eden’s Garden Essential Oils.
Bach Flower Remedies may also be useful.
For more information, consult someone with training and experience with using essential oils for your individual needs.
