Veterans Team Recovery Integrative Immersion Process (Vet TRIIP)
The Mission of Vet TRIIP is to honor and empower veterans and service members; their families and caregivers; and service providers living with Post-Traumatic Stress, chronic pain and related symptoms to create healthy, happy, and productive civilian lives. The Vet TRIIP program provides new information from the latest research, teaches new skills, and demonstrates a wide range of modalities which can be used to achieve this goal by promoting stress resilience, gentle relaxation, more comfort and better sleep.
The Vet TRIIP Program includes the following:
The Integrative Immersion Process (IIP) Sessions
The Stage 2 Healthy Lifestyle Sessions
The STRESS Resilience and Relaxation Staff Training (STRESS R&R)
The Stage 3 Relaxing Exercise Classes (proposed)
Coordinated Counseling (currently with The Vet Center in San Antonio)
Vet TRIIP was developed by Bob Deschner and Dottie Goodsun in conjunction with many talented volunteers serving with the Integrative Immersion Process (IIP) Sessions in San Antonio; the Austin Veterans and Family Advocacy Council (AVFAC), the Academy for Oriental Medicine at Austin (www.aoma.edu) and Adam Coleman who founded SaveAVet. The Vet TRIIP program is based on the successful full time programs at Fort Bliss (the Restoration and Resilience Program developed by Dr. John Fortunato, PhD) at Fort Hood (the DAMC Warrior Combat Stress Reset Program developed by Dr. Jerry Wesch, PhD).
Vet TRIIP currently provides IIP Sessions (by appointment only) on select Mondays in San Antonio and selected Saturdays in Houston, TX.
Vet TRIIP, Inc. is a 501c3 tax exemption organization. Donations may be deducted to the full extent allowed by law.
