What Is Tai Chi?

Tai Chi is an ancient form of gentle relaxing exercise, frequently performed in groups, which uses slow motion movements, breathing and visualization to promote relaxation and good health.  In beginning classes, instructors will teach the series of movements in sections.  Once the basic movements are learned, practitioners may find that they can join classes or group practices with similar style Tai Chi without much difficulty.  Practitioners with physical restrictions can usually make modifications to allow them to follow the group and still benefit from Tai Chi.
